IF YOU'RE SERIOUS ABOUT BECOMING A SUCCESSFUL, WORKING SCREENWRITER WITH A STAKE IN THE US MARKET, THEN YOU
CAN'T AFFORD TO MISS "HOW TO BREAK INTO HOLLYWOOD"
In Hollywood, screenwriters fall into two categories - produced and unproduced. If you want to get the inside track on how to get your
screenplay from page to screen, then don't miss this exhilarating two-day workshop with award-winning US writer/producer Paul Margolis.
In contrast to other screenwriting gurus, Paul is a
successful working screenwriter with nearly 30 years in the industry trenches - he has seen it all, worked with some of the best, and successfully negotiated
his way through the minefield of studios, agents, producers and directors.
Paul's seminar is specifically designed for Australian screenwriters who want to create emotionally powerful stories with universal appeal while expanding their opportunities outside the local Australian film market. Having a good story is not enough - Paul shows you how to develop a personalized strategy for selling your script including designing a pitch that will make US agents and producers say "Yes!"
This unique two-day seminar will cover the creative and the practical, including:
- Why most writing seminars don't help - and why this one will inspire, motivate and raise your game
- Advantages and disadvantages of being an Australian screenwriter
- Hollywood: love it or loathe it, it's the biggest film market in the world - and one you can't afford to ignore
- Creating a brilliant concept - why it's so essential (and why you're wasting your time if you don't)
- The 'Australian' Factor - why being Down Under may actually improve your odds
- Rules of the Hollywood game - how to use them to
your best advantage
- The Final Challenge: ready to take Hollywood by storm!
