Hey, my name is Sean Capel, and i am a young director looking for actors to film within the next 7-10 days between the ages of (late 20s to 40s) for my new
film "Stand-In", which i would call both quirky and dramatic.
The plot is as follows: We a presented with a singular figure living in a small appartment, his name is Henry Gorman, and he is a lonely man. As the film progresses we are painted a vivid portrait of this lonely man as he prepares to go to work. We discover through conversations with his "landlord" and "mother" that he is short of money andgoing for a new "job", the nature of which remains to be ambigious until the climatic moments of the film, where we discover that the method of how he aquires his money to survive is to walk in front of cars and with a dramatic performance following leading to a lawsuit giving him thousands of dollars. This film will show the lengths people can go to aquire money to survive within a harsh world, yet also show the impact of loneliness, and how no matter how much money you may get, it can never fill the hole that loneliness brings.
I need to have an actor within the ages of roughly late 20s - 40s that can convey great expression. For most of the movie, Henry is a very still character, who uses very subtle facial expressions that say alot in the scheme of the narrative. When he is on "the job" he becomes very dramatic as he tries to hone in a performance that will garner him ALOT of money in return. In the end though, his reality is a lonely immoral life, which conveys an inner sadness, again presented from the subtle physicality and facial expressions.
In terms of filming locations, it will be primarily done within an appartment building, but also a few scenes in a more city areas (the car scene, a scene on a payphone, a bus, and various walking scenes).
Please contact me (capel_maestro@hotmail.com) if you are interested in playing the part of "Henry Gorman", it will be much appreciated and when the project has been completed will provide a copy of the film, as well as any raw footage for showreels (if you have one or wish to make one).
I have made 5 films previous films, a few of which can be viewed below.
