Final Cut Pro is Apple's most popular and powerful video editing application. This three day course covers everything needed to get started with
Final Cut Pro including digitising material, splicing and overwriting, trimming, adding dissolves, working in the timeline window, mixing audio, saving
work and managing bins.
By the end of this course participants will have had the opportunity to:
- Find out how to digitise material
- Learn how to insert material
- Acquire the skills to trim and add dissolves
- Become familiar with working in the timeline window
- Explore the mix audio
- Learn how to save work and manage bins
Prerequisites
Preference will be given to those owning or regularly using FCP. A solid working knowledge of the Macintosh operating system and file/folder hierarchy is essential.

Shaun Smith has worked in the film industry since the mid 1980s in various crew, producing and post production roles in Australia and overseas. He has
been an editor and assistant editor for the past ten years and has worked on a wide range of projects with subjects and clients ranging from the Wiggles
to Chopper Read, with each influencing his teaching style!. His recent work includes The Pacific.
