A short and sharp workshop introducing the specialised skills of the Film / TV production accountant to those with little accounting experience.
This seminar will explore the introduction and effects of the Australia Screen Production Incentive and provide an overview of the Production Accountant's role and relationship with key personnel.
By the end of this seminar participants will have had the opportunity to:
- Explore budgeting, cashflowing, fundraising, bank accounts, record keeping, contracts, insurance, tax, gst, super, cast and crew awards;
- Become familiar with procedures and timetables for a shoot
- Investigate cost reporting including casual crew, crew and cast fringes, cast, art dept, film and lab, equipment and post production.

Course presenter: Jill Hewitt
Jill Hewitt has worked with Moneypenny Services since 1988. Jill concluded her role as Financial Controller on Moulin Rouge in 2000 and took on the position of General Manager of Moneypenny Production accounting. Jill's credits include: Moulin Rouge, Oscar and Lucinda, Paradise Road (Penang shoot), Robinson Crusoe, Muriels Wedding, Sirens, Alex, and Cops. Jill has experience with Vista and Goldfinger accounting packages.
