Gday all,
I don't post very often but I thought I would just ask this question. I have always wanted to make miniature sets, accessories, etc for film. I know alot is turning to CG now but nothing beats the real deal.
I have just had a shop start selling my custom work.
I work mainly in 1/6 scale (12 inch) and can build anything from WW2 streets with cobblestone roads and pavement to Desert ruins and Jungle vegetation, etc.
I had the model department from Fox Studios review my portfolio during the making of "The Matrix Revolutions" and they were quite impressed.
I would like to gain employment in this area and photos are available for those who are interested in my work. austeyr@dodo.com.au
I am also willing to travel or relocate for the right position.
How do I get a foot in the door with my natural talent? I am getting a bit long in the tooth (nearly 25) and I can not afford a 4 year Uni degree.

Regards,

Sean.

Hey I would try and set-up an online website gallery of your work. Then post a link on this forum and any other related forums. I've had a lot of people contacting me this way. You seem to have a dodo email address, usually they offer you some space for web hosting.

If you need advice on how to set-up a website you can shoot me an email at me@moo-key.com
