I couldn't let this one go by:

WALLABY JIM OF THE ISLANDS

[1937- George Huston, Mamo Clark, Ruth Coleman - black&white - 61 minutes] The handsome singing captain of a pearl fishing boat returns to the peaceful South Pacific island of Raihoa to deliver his partner's fiance to him. But upon arriving he finds that his partner has gambled away all his money and a group of unscrupulous pirates are forcing the natives to dive for pearls.

Me neither ...

THE ADDING MACHINE ... "An accountant whose job is about to be taken over by a computer starts to re-examine his life and his priorities."

Believe it or not, this is a play by Elmer Rice from 1923 that was turned into a very theatrical film in 1969, starring Milo O'Shea and Phyllis Diller. An amazing film that is still contemporary all these years later.

I found a VHS of this film the other night ... from the Channel 9 Late, Late, Late Show ... just when the first all night broadcasts started ... the first VHS cassette I ever recorded in 1978 ... and it is still in perfect condition and I dumped it to DVD!
