sick of it. i do not enjoy having women's tits and arse forcibly flashed in my face on a site that should have better standards than that. my respect for this site has slipped drastically. eventually, i think i may just stay away. i expected better than this. not only are there porn ads, but links to sites that exist solely to rip off people. i'm truly disgusted that filmnet would advertise scams on their site.
filmnet...@#%$ shame on you!!!!

I installed a free Google toolbar which has a 'pop-up blocker' feature. It blocks all pop ups unless I approve them.

Tits ehhhhhhhhhh.....

Hmmmmmmmm.....8o 8o

Cheers, Glen.

(Don't go 'way Icy, just get a pop-up blocker!)

i sure do need a pop up blocker. but really, this sort of thing does not belong here. i wonder if this is why filmlover left. he left about the time these popped up. does filmnet not consider his female 'customers'? does he really think we like to see that? and the scam where you give your name and phone number to find your perfect lover....is he @#%$ outta his mind? he wants us to be ripped off? no, filmnet's a lowlife for doing this. i can't hold my tongue anymore. i could put up popblockers, but it doesn't make them go away and it doesn't absolve filmnet of a rather ugly and disappointing decision. to disregard us like that. to risk pushing us away. to sink so low....
for shame.

I've also noticed a massive drop-off in posts this last week or so too. Looks like everyone's abandoning a sinking ship. Pity, after all the work FL put into developing this forum for us all to share.

Pity.

Glen.

As I said to someone the other day, when you can get John Singleton to pay you $500,000 for a couple of day's LEGAL work, then you can knock the girl! :lol :lol

Cheers, Glen.

Did I miss something? Is Filmnet turning into 5hit again? Sorry, I get infrequent during the holidays.

I agree that standards must be maintained, especially because we tend to have a "youngish" audience ... as well as those of us upon whom the nasty stuff is really wasted ... mere "t1tt1llat1on" ...

There is a revenue factor, of course ... I think there is a dribble of income from the take-up of pop ups.

With 5,000 regular readers at its peak, maybe we should chase up sponsors like Final Draft, Apple, Sony Vegas, SAS, VCA, RMIT, Encore magazine, Panasonic, Canon ... even Film Vic, ATOM or the AFC should kick in to a site like this that furthers film culture.

FL has done a sterling job. Maybe with decent sponsorship or income, a manager could be remunerated and be on top of things like pop ups. We don't want to have to subscribe, which is the next step.

IMHO ...

PS. I'm on Mac SAFARI and don't get pop-ups on Filmnet, either ... must be an IE thing ...
