I've just found 9 (processed) rolls of AGFA Moviechrome 40 sound (technically, there's 2 rolls that seem to be Kodak's version of the same thing, but I can't find any name for it on the packaging). I think it's old family footage from the 70s & 80s. I have no idea whether it's damaged or not.

Does anyone know what kind of player/projector this film plays through? I've tried to search through the net and I'm not coming up with much.

Also, it's already processed. Should I still be keeping it in the fridge?

Cheers

Wow, no one seems to know about this stuff anymore!

You have Super8 film, which is playable on any dedicated Super8 SOUND projector. These are harder to come by, because of the sound component. Otherwise, you can play it through a normal Super8 projector, you just won't hear anything.

To see if it's damaged, unravel a bit of it (maybe a metre?) Have a look at the sprocket holes, colour of the images, are there any scratches, etc. Your colours may be a bit faded, but that's okay - as long as there's an image.

You don't need to keep it in the fridge anymore either...those silver halides in the film ain't going anywhere anymore :p

Any more q's, just ask!
Cryssie :D
