Wow, no one seems to know about this stuff anymore!

You have Super8 film, which is playable on any dedicated Super8 SOUND projector. These are harder to come by, because of the sound component. Otherwise, you can play it through a normal Super8 projector, you just won't hear anything.

To see if it's damaged, unravel a bit of it (maybe a metre?) Have a look at the sprocket holes, colour of the images, are there any scratches, etc. Your colours may be a bit faded, but that's okay - as long as there's an image.

You don't need to keep it in the fridge anymore either...those silver halides in the film ain't going anywhere anymore :p
