Yeh, it was screened at the Kino Dendy cinemas as part of MUFF (Melbourne Underground Film Festival), which by the way is still on at the moment and will wrap up this weekend. I saw it (for free luckily, no risk taking there) and I'll vouch for the title of "worst aussie film ever". If any of the crew ever read this post I apologise if I offend anyone but in my opinion it is the biggest piece of @#%$ ever.
It's basically dick, @#%$ and cum jokes for the entire length of the film. AND NONE ARE FUNNY! Jo's character has this annoying lisp (THEY ACTUALLY HAVE HER SAY "THUFFERIN THUKATASH" ALA SYLVESTER IN HER LINE WHEN THEY RUN OVER SOMETHING). I dunno wat's with the cameo BB contender appearences, Trevor from the previous series is also in there.
Most of the acting is appalling and I didn't find the story captivating at all. OK, after all this, I know I prolly sound like one of those hypocritical wankers that is annoyed at the fact that his filmmaking is going nowhere so they should take it out on every other low budget piece that receives attention that they think they shouldn't get and perhaps I'm coming on too strong but hey, that's the beauty of free speech and if I seem like one of those wankers on this post well then I guess I'll havta take the wrap for it.
With all that being said, I don't want to prevent people from seeing it, in fact I encourage people to see it. Watching all kinds of films is a learning experience (even if that might be learning what doesn't work in a film). I don't know how you could get your hands on it if you didn't catch it at MUFF. I can ask Richard, the festival director, if he knows where else people can see it if you dare.
