Call for short film script for Tropfest

Hi,
I'm interested in making a short film for Tropfest 2010. Submissions close January 6th so we'd have to move fast. I have complete access to equipment, crew, actors, etc. I just don't have a script. Has anyone written one or is anyone interested in writing one? The theme this year is dice. It would be great to have one location and few actors, but at the same time, something that can stand up against the other short films.

How do you support yourself as a writer?

Just wondering how the other writers out there are supporting themselves?

I work part time in a pizza store, sell virtual currency, play the stock market, and sell stuff on ebay.

Is it better to have a job in the writing industry (not your dream job), while working on your own projects in your spare time,

Or

have a job in a totally different industry, to avoid writing overload, then come home and work on your scripts?

Is an agent needed to sell scripts?

What is a short film?

I know it's probably a weird question, but I'm use to reading, writing and studying feature length scripts. I'm use to the the 3 Act structure.

I want to start getting into writng short films but am unsure of the short film structure.

Can anyone point me to a reference (book, film or website) that I can learn more from?
